ICF International Awarded $9.9M Contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Firm Will Continue Identifying Improper Payments in Housing Programs

Fairfax, Virginia, January 5, 2010 -

Macro International (ICF Macro), a subsidiary of ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), won a $9.9 million, two-year recompete contract with the Office of Policy Development and Research, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This is the fourth consecutive contract awarded to ICF Macro to provide HUD with estimates of the type and cost of errors associated with the income certification and rent calculation process for HUD-assisted housing programs.

ICF Macro has a long history of collecting, analyzing, and reporting findings related to improper payments in housing and other social programs. "We look forward to continuing our support of HUD with these quality control studies and to expanding our work under the new contract by assessing potential billing subsidy dollar errors for multifamily housing projects. We are very pleased to continue to provide HUD with accurate findings in an efficient and timely manner," said JoAnn Kuchak, ICF Macro senior vice president.

"ICF is proud of its 20-year record of successfully supporting many of HUD's key programs and initiatives that make a difference for communities and households in need across the nation. We provide advisory, implementation, and evaluation services that both enhance HUD's capacity to achieve major impact from its program resources, and the capacity of its state, local government, and nonprofit partners in serving their constituents," said Jeanne Townend, Senior Vice President for Health, Education, and Social Programs at ICF.
