Patrick C. Miller Joins ICF International as Technical Director of NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection

New Hire Will Focus on Commercial Energy Accounts

ICF International, a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, announced that it has named Patrick C. Miller to the position of technical director for NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). He will focus on delivering NERC CIP for commercial entities.

Mr. Miller is an authority on NERC CIP issues, most recently working for the Western Electric Coordinating Council (WECC) as manager of critical infrastructure protection audits and investigations. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Systems Security Professional with a concentration in information systems security architecture. He is a regular speaker and panelist as an industry expert on the subjects of critical infrastructure protection, process control system security, regulatory compliance, audit, and privacy.

Prior to joining WECC in 2008, Mr. Miller held the position of senior information security consultant for PacificCorp in Portland, Ore., where he was responsible for information security consulting and regulatory compliance from 2004-2008. From 2003-2004, Mr. Miller was principal security consultant for Breakwater Security Consultants, also in Portland, where he developed the energy and utility security practice within the company.

In addition to his experience in the energy sector, Mr. Miller also held key positions in the insurance, Internet, and telecommunications sectors.

A well-regarded public speaker, Mr. Miller holds numerous credentials and certificates, multiple professional memberships, and has been recognized with many professional awards.
