ICF International Awarded $6.7 Million Contract to Support Major Utility Energy Efficiency Work

Fairfax, Virginia, October 18, 2011 -

ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a re-compete contract to support a major utility energy efficiency new construction program. The contract has a value of $6.7 million and a term of 17 months.

Through a performance-based tiered incentive program, ICF will promote increased energy efficiency in residential market rate and low income/affordable new home construction. ICF will also educate homebuilders, code officials, and trade allies regarding the energy saving benefits and value of building to higher energy efficiency standards over code.

“Energy efficiency in the new construction and major renovations markets is an important part of our client's annual energy savings goals,” said Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF International. “It has long been understood that building an efficient house in the first place reduces the need to provide additional energy efficiency services for the same house down the road. New construction is a significant opportunity for energy efficiency and potentially a very large lost opportunity if action isn’t taken.”

ICF offers results and solutions to a broad range of clients in the energy industry worldwide. ICF has advised both private and public sector clients in all facets of the energy industry for more than 30 years and is a leader in designing and implementing effective and innovative strategies.

ICF clients include investor-owned and public utilities, power developers, regulated transmission and distribution companies, unregulated enterprises, municipal power authorities, energy traders and marketers, oil and gas exploration and production companies, gas transmission companies, pipeline developers, local distribution companies, industry associations, investors, financial institutions, law firms, and regulators.
