Awards Recognize ICF for Climate Risk Management and Adaptation and Climate Risk Information Technolog

ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, received two awards from Climate Change Business Journal® (CCBJ) for 2014. Specifically, ICF won two Business Achievement Awards in the Consulting & Engineering category for Climate Risk Management & Adaptation and in the Technology Merit category for Climate Risk Information Technology.

ICF was recognized for Climate Risk Management & Adaptation by achieving substantial growth in its climate risk assessment and adaptation practice in the past two years. The company has accomplished this by diversifying within several strategic areas that are emerging as key adaptation services, including new approaches to managing climate change risks to infrastructure and strengthening transportation-related climate risk management.

"ICF is honored to receive this award recognizing the advances we have helped our clients achieve in mainstreaming the consideration of climate risks into the fabric of their planning," said Peter Schultz, principal for ICF International. "In the past year, we have helped more than a dozen federal agencies, numerous cities, and major international organizations take practical steps to protect their interests from the threats of climate change."

ICF was honored in the Climate Risk Information Technology category, where CCBJ cited ICF for developing two climate change resilience tools that help transportation agencies overcome barriers to conducting climate change vulnerability assessments.

"These tools are transforming the way practitioners in capital planning, design, operations and maintenance consider the risks associated with climate change and extreme weather," said Anne Choate, vice president for ICF International. "Mainstreaming these risks into decision-making has been a central focus of our efforts across a variety of sectors and geographies to ensure climate risks are appropriately weighed against a host of other risks and managed accordingly."

The CCBJ's Business Achievement Awards program recognizes companies for their contribution to addressing climate change in 2014. ICF has been recognized for the fourth year in a row.

The 2014 CCBJ awards will be presented at a special ceremony at the Environmental Industry Summit XIII, an annual executive networking and educational event at Hotel Solamar in San Diego on March 11, 2015.
