ICF to Continue to Support ENERGY STARĀ® Label and Residential Programs

ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, was recently awarded a re-compete, single-award blanket purchase agreement by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Air and Radiation. The contract has a term of five years, including one base year and four option years, and a value of $38.8 million.

ICF will continue to provide technical, analytical and stakeholder support for ENERGY STAR labeled products and residential programs. Further, ICF will support ENERGY STAR in three main capacities: program administration and integrity support, technical and market research and specification development, and marketing and outreach to stakeholders.

To carry out this work, ICF will apply its extensive experience in energy efficiency program design and implementation combined with specific expertise in engineering, marketing, communications, product development and voluntary public-private partnerships. ICF’s research staff and engineers currently provide market and technology analysis for EPA’s suite of more than 70 product categories, ranging from lighting to consumer electronics to commercial food service, as well as for its residential building program. ICF also provides market specialists to conduct marketing, outreach and program support to industry stakeholders in order to increase the adoption of ENERGY STAR labeled products and homes.

"ICF has successfully supported ENERGY STAR since its inception in 1992," said Paul Vrabel, vice president for ICF International. "We are very proud of this legacy and our dedicated and passionate staff that have contributed to this work over the years. We look forward to working with EPA to identify the next level of energy saving products and homes which will enable Americans to further reduce their energy consumption and resultant emissions."

"For more than two decades, EPA has turned to ICF for guidance and support in developing ENERGY STAR, the nation’s premier energy efficiency platform," said Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF International. "We appreciate the opportunity to continue our support of ENERGY STAR, an important role that ICF has held since the program’s creation. Today, ENERGY STAR is one of the most recognized brands in the world and ICF is proud of its role in helping to make that happen."

ENERGY STAR is an EPA voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect the climate through superior energy efficiency. Now in its 23rd year, the ENERGY STAR program has boosted the adoption of energy efficient products, practices and services through valuable partnerships, objective measurement tools and consumer education.
