Expert in Health Care Policy, Training, and Education
FAIRFAX, VA, July 18, 2006 –Caliber,
an ICF International company, announced today that
Dr. Laurie May joined the firm as a senior vice
president to lead the firm’s health care
business, bringing with her more than 20 years
of experience overseeing health care consulting.
In her role at ICF, Dr. May will be responsible
for public
health and health
care policy. She will assist government and health care
clients to more effectively organize, manage, finance,
and deliver high-quality and cost-effective health
care. She will also focus on projects involving
family
and social welfare issues, working to improve individual health and
well being.

Prior to ICF, Dr. May was the Director of the
Health Care Programs at CNA Corporation (CNAC),
where she managed numerous projects in health care.
Dr. May directed a number of large-scale health
care studies, including the four-year evaluation
of the TRICARE demonstration project, which was
the U.S. Department of Defense's (DOD) test
of its managed care initiative. Most recently,
she was awarded a US$6.1 million project by the
U.S. Veterans Disability Benefits Commission (VDBC)
to examine the appropriateness of the current veterans'
disabilities compensation system.
