ICF Consulting
Provides Technical and Policy Support for
the Elimination of Chemical Weapons
FAIRFAX, VA, September 29, 2005 – ICF
Consulting announced today that it was awarded a contract
by the U.S. Department of the Army to provide technical
and policy support related to the elimination of chemical
weapons. The 5-year contract is worth up to US$3.3 million.
Under the terms of the contract, ICF Consulting will provide
assistance with program coordination, planning and outreach,
document review and analysis, technical support for working
groups, and impact analysis.
The U.S. Chemical Demilitarization Program was established
to protect people and the environment by overseeing the
safe destruction of chemical agents. The U.S. Army is charged
with enhancing the management and execution of the program,
providing the coordination, advocacy, and liaison support
necessary to achieve the safe, efficient, and complete
destruction of chemical warfare materials.
