To Provide Innovative Training and
Technical Assistance
FAIRFAX, VA, October 2, 2006 – Caliber,
an ICF International company, was awarded a five-year,
US$45 million contract with the Office of Justice
Programs (OJP) to provide training and
technical assistance support for the Office for Victims
of Crime, Training and Technical Assistance Center
(OVC TTAC), and the Office of Juvenile Justice and
Delinquency Prevention, National Training and Technical
Assistance Center (OJJDP NTTAC). The purpose of the
contract is to help
strengthen the capacity of federal, state, and local
programs to prevent delinquency
and support victims of crime. ICF will develop, deliver,
and promote high quality training
and technical assistance to professionals serving the victims and juvenile
justice fields.
"The ICF Caliber team will draw on the knowledge
of a network of experts with first-hand experience
working with our nation’s crime victims and
juvenile justice systems to improve the quality
and efficacy of DOJ services," says Patrick
Coleman, senior vice president at ICF Caliber and
expert in criminal justice.
ICF Caliber will support a vast array of DOJ tasks,
including needs assessments,
evaluations and education, marketing, and outreach
to professionals working in related fields, in
order to assist the department in responding to
emerging justice system issues. Additionally, the
team expects to erect vital information
technology infrastructure in order to provide the agency with
superior Web sites, Web-based training, learning
communities, data collection, and reporting. The
program will afford the most cost-effective total
solution to support professionals working in the
victims and juvenile justice fields.
