WASHINGTON, DC, March 25, 2004 - ICF Consulting's
Howard Finkel is now a Senior Vice President. He is a Registered
Environmental Engineer and is widely recognized for his 22 years of experience
in hazardous and radioactive waste
management, pollution prevention, risk
assessment,
and environmental site assessments.
Mr. Finkel manages ICF Consulting's on-site technical assistance
to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Facilities, Siting,
and Environmental Management Division, where ICF Consulting
supports the development of Environment, Safety, and Occupational
Health (ESOH) policies and guidance, as well as the implementation
of MDA's environmental management system for developing and
executing the MDA ESOH compliance program.
In past positions at ICF Consulting, Mr. Finkel played a
key role in leading ICF Consulting's projects at the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, and was also instrumental
in expanding ICF Consulting's international work in advising
on cleaner production and waste management business in Asia,
Europe, and Latin America.
Mr. Finkel joined ICF Consulting in 1984 and has a M.S.,
Environmental Science and Engineering, from the Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State University, as well as a
B.S., Biology and Environmental Science, from the St. Lawrence
University. He possesses numerous professional certifications
in radiological emergency preparedness and as an environmental
engineer.
