ICF International Awarded $7.4M Energy Efficiency Contract by U.S. Based Utility

Firm Will Design and Implement Residential and Commercial Energy-Efficiency Programs

Fairfax, Virginia, August 20, 2009 - ICF Resources, LLC, a subsidiary of ICF International, Inc. (NASDAQ:ICFI), was recently awarded a new contract with another U.S. based utility to develop and implement energy efficiency programs for its residential and commercial customers. The three-year agreement was awarded in August 2009 and is valued at $7.4 million. This is the third major energy efficiency contract awarded to the firm this summer.

ICF is one of the foremost designers and implementers of energy efficiency (EE) and demand-side management (DSM) programs in the world. Through its years of involvement in nationally significant implementation projects with utilities and other clients, the firm has developed an unsurpassed delivery infrastructure for EE and DSM programs.

“We have established strong working relationships with important customer groups, state regulatory commissions, government and energy officials, and key trade allies, as well as with manufacturers and distributors for ready access to major energy-saving technologies,” said Mike Mernick, ICF senior vice president and energy efficiency expert. “ICF’s ability to bring the full spectrum of turnkey support to our work is a major consideration for our clients.”

ICF will draw on these relationships and its long-term experience to develop and execute a strategic plan for the utility’s residential and commercial energy-efficiency programs, which will incorporate appliance replacement and ENERGY STAR® components for existing homes and new construction, including low-income communities, as well as a small commercial prescriptive program.

“ICF has extensive experience providing end-to-end services to utilities and government agencies,” continued Phil Mihlmester, ICF senior vice president for Energy, Climate, and Transportation. “We are deeply committed to helping our clients meet complex energy-efficiency challenges with innovative solutions.”
