ICF International Wins More Than $5M in Federal Government Awards in Climate Change and Sustainability Support

Wins Reflect Increasing Federal Commitment to Sustainable and Climate Friendly Practices

Fairfax, Virginia, October 26, 2009 - ICF Incorporated, LLC, a subsidiary of ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), announced today that it has won five new contracts totaling over $5 million to support a variety of U.S. federal agencies with climate change and sustainability efforts. As a result of the recent Executive Order for Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance, the federal government has reinforced its commitment to the sustainable and climate friendly operations of federal agencies.

These contracts with five different federal agencies include emissions inventory support, efforts to improve energy conservation, and assessing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from federal agencies. In the largest contract for $2.9 million from the Federal Highway Administration, ICF will support efforts to adapt to the effects of climate change on transportation systems along the Gulf Coast. Adaptation efforts are becoming an important component in understanding and planning for the effects of climate change.

"ICF has amassed significant expertise leading complex multidisciplinary projects on climate change impacts and adaptation," said Anne Choate, ICF vice president. "We are thrilled to be working on perhaps the biggest adaptation project that the U.S. government has funded to date."

"We are privileged to support continuing federal leadership in addressing climate change and sustainability challenges and their solutions," added Randall Freed, ICF senior vice president. "Executive Order 13514 challenges U.S. government agencies to lead the way across many dimensions of sustainability, and ICF has the unique capability to support these agencies in every dimension, starting with greenhouse gas inventories and plans."
