ICF Consulting Awarded Contract to Support Full-Time Homeland Defense Operations Center

WASHINGTON, DC, February 11, 2003 - ICF Consulting has been awarded a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contract to support its National Security Emergency Preparedness (NSEP) program for the next five years. ICF Consulting, as a subcontractor to Excalibur Associates, Inc.'s $4 million contract, is providing analytical and technical support including on-site staff to operate and maintain EPA's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Washington, D.C., 365 days a year.

The EOC serves as EPA's focal point for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information from EPA Regions and all of its program offices (i.e., air, water, radiation, Superfund, etc.) to the rest of the federal government. The ICF Consulting team is cleared to Top Secret and is prepared to support the EOC during a national security emergency activation.

"The United States is still engaged in a war against terrorism and our staff is proud of its support to our federal clients in protecting the homeland," said Anita Kellogg, Senior Vice President of ICF Consulting's Homeland Security and Emergency Management practice.

In addition to winning the EPA contract, ICF Consulting recently was awarded a contract to support the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Policy Executive Steering Committee (PESC). The PESC is a senior-level decision-making forum established to guide TSA efforts to develop transportation security regulations and other policy actions.
